Planning visit

Family Ledger Sitting

A desk sitting for two or more adults who share a house and need one notebook that shows who puts money in, and which bills that money is meant to cover.

Two adult hands beside an open cloth ledger and two tea glasses

Who the sitting is for

Couples, or adult siblings, living in one rented house and paying rent, electricity, and market food from money that arrives on different days.

What you leave holding

[object Object]

Included in the hour

  • Seventy-five minutes with everyone who shares the purse present
  • A notebook started in the sitting, which the household keeps
  • A one-page weekly check written on the first leaf

Where the rest of the money matters stay

The hour stays on the shared notebook. Private debts that a person prefers to leave unnamed stay off the page.

How a visit is arranged

  1. 01

    Come together

Book a single hour when the adults who share the purse can both sit down. A ledger written for someone who is not in the room tends to be ignored.

  2. 02

    Name the shared bills only

Rent, electricity, water, rice, and anything else you have already agreed is shared. Personal spending stays out unless you both ask to put a line in.

  3. 03

    Leave with the notebook

You take the notebook home the same afternoon. The desk does not keep a copy of the amounts.

What to bring

Each person brings the day they are paid or the day market cash usually comes in, and the last rent figure.

Limits of one sitting

Held at the office, where there is room for two people and the book. If only one adult can attend, the desk will offer another date rather than write the other person’s lines without them.

The fee

From 900 THB for two adults. A third adult in the same house is included if they share the same bills. Paid at the end of the sitting.

Cancellations and returned fees are set out on the refund page. The broader engagement is on the terms page.
